CIYMS Summer Tournament

CIYMS Chess Club Wednesday nights 1st May - 25th September 2002

The traditional summer "go as you please" summer tournament was held this year at CIYMS Chess Club, because the usual venue at the Civil Service Chess Club, the Maynard Sinclair Pavilion, was undergoing construction work. Prizes were determined by percentage scores and to be eligible for a prize a player had to play at least 10 games. 42 players took part and of those 28 completed at least 10 games and were thus eligible for prizes.

The winner was Stewart McConaghy with 11.5 points from his 16 games.
